My husband and I have been together for eight years and have been struggling along like any other double income family to make ends meet. What we long for most is a quaility of life that’s not caught up in mass consumerism. I feel that we have no culture or custom that enriches us. This blog is about our family of five that wants to spend less money and live better. Our New Years Resolution for 2008 is to live a simpler and healthier life style. We’ve decided to switch almost 100% of our soaps and household cleaners to easy to find and easy to make environmentally friendly products.

Outside of the economic factors we are wanting to be friendlier stewards on the planet and to model a healthier and saner lifestyle to our children. The modern day world can be so hectic on kids too not giving them the time they need to grow up more simplicity equals greater imagination.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”~ Albert Einstein

We are dedicated to buying organic and local for a food supply when we can. I hope to be able to share the changes in our lifestyles and to impart any grains of wisdom we come along– I’m sure there will be some exasperation as well: hopefully some use will come out of these experiences. We our looking forward to sharing our simpler living experiment with you.

Blessings
